Travel safely with IFA

Return journeys of IFA members from anywhere in the world and transfer to locations in Germany

	Doris S. Leipzig: Recently, an ambulance jet of the internationalen-Flug-Ambulanz e.V. (IFA) flew Doris S, a resident of Leipzig, back to her city of residence from Southern France. She fell seriously ill during the vacation and had to be admitted to a French hospital. Relocation to a clinic with maximum facilities in her city of residence was urgently necessary. A little later, an ambulance jet with the latest medical equipment, a specialist and an assistant flew to Southern France. The return flight lasted 3.5 hours. An already waiting ambulance at the Leipzig airport took over Doris S and drove her to the University Clinic. She was happy to be back in Germany and she thanked the IFA action team profusely for providing her excellent care during the ambulance flight. As an IFA member, the resident of Leipzig did not have to pay any return journey costs. The more than 15, 000 Euro spent on the ambulance flight was paid in full by the Internationale-Flug-Ambulanz e.V. IFA has been active in providing its worldwide return journey service to its nearly 260,000 entitled association members for over 25 years. Many German citizens who fell ill or suffered accidents in foreign countries received help from the IFA by virtue of its high levels of professionalism. Leipzig, 06.06.2006

Wolfgang H.

Wolfgang H. has been a member of the Internationalen-Flug-Ambulanz e.V. (IFA) for the last 20 years. He travels a lot to other countries on professional tours. Besides investing in corporate insurance, he has also insured himself personally for emergencies. A few weeks ago, he met with an accident while on vacation, during a professional foreign tour in Norway. The Jesteburg resident fell down and suffered complicated injuries in the left shoulder joint as well as in the pelvic region. From the accident site, the injured patient was taken to a clinic in Bergen. Effective care became necessary after the examinations in the Norwegian clinic were completed. Wolfgang H. turned to the IFA Control Office in Nuremberg and requested that he be transported to a clinic in Hamburg/Eppendorf. A few hours later, an IFA ambulance jet equipped with the latest medical instruments took off for Bergen to bring him back to Hamburg. Immediately after landing at the airport in the hanseatic city the IFA member said: “I am happy that now I can get further treatment in a German clinic. I am also impressed by the professionalism of the action team that enabled the super fast return journey from Norway. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the return journey service.

Horst M.
Horst M from the Ruhr region and his wife had been looking forward to their vacation for a long time. The two selected a well-known holiday spot in Turkey as their destination and wanted to relax there for a few weeks. Directly upon arrival at the holiday spot, on the very first day however, the 69-years old IFA member fell sick suddenly and had to be admitted to a clinic in Turkey in the middle of the night. His wife was deeply shocked by the sudden illness of her husband, and she had to sign a debit note for several thousand Euros in the middle of the night for the treatment of her husband and guarantee that the required amount of approximately 1000 Euro per day is available in the local private clinic. She spoke immediately to her relatives back in Germany and the money arrived. After all the exertions, the worrying wife had only one objective on her mind- return home as fast as possible. She called up the Control Office of the Internationalen-Flug-Ambulanz e.V. (IFA) and requested earliest possible help. The IFA helped and brought its member home. During the return flight to Germany, the patient was provided optimal medical attention and an ambulance already waiting at the Düsseldorf airport took Horst W. to a special clinic. Horst M. is very happy that he is a member of IFA and he thanks the entire action team for the excellent return journey service. Membership of the IFA enabled this patient to save a lot of money.
